As a star-shaped professional constantly seeking to level up with additional skills, I was trying to pursue a Master’s degree in Data Science and AI last year. While the university turned out to be a degree mill (leading to my withdrawal), some valuable projects remained – including this cafe sales analysis.

This project originated as my final assignment for a Data Analysis with Python class. It was eye opening to become a data analyst on a mission to uncover hidden insights and provide actionable recommendations to cafe owners. The experience of transforming raw data into meaningful insights was both challenging and rewarding.

Now I know why data analytics are constantly complaining. You need so many skills to make an analysis:

– Collect and clean the data

– Exploratory data analysis (EDA)

– Statistical analysis and pattern recognition

– Data visualization and storytelling

– Business insight generation and recommendations

The project was fun to work on and took weeks to make. Now that I’m no longer enrolled, this project is a reminder of a trajectory I decided not to pursue further and focus on product management and UX.
